On the Advanced Search page, enter some search terms. In this example, the researcher is looking for books about psychology and success in higher education. Note that all three search boxes are set to "keyword."
Scroll down the page to "Search Tools." In this example, the researcher selects the Book format option and limits the search to books that are available through Shenandoah University Libraries.
After making your selections, click Search to get the list of results. If needed, you can adjust your search using the limiters on the left side of the results page.
On the Advanced Search page, type the title of a book into the Title search field.
Find your title in the list of search results.
If it is a print book, it will have a call number that indicates where it is located in the library.
If the book is in the library's ebook collections, a button will indicate that you can access it online.
You can place a hold. Then you will receive a notification when the book is available and be first in line to check it out next.
You can request it through interlibrary loan. Physical books travel through the mail, so if it's for a research project, requesting a copy of a chapter may be a better, faster option for you.
