Quote from JFK – Jan 20th 1961 Inaugural Address “…ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

Shenandoah University Libraries supports the efforts of the Center for Civic Engagement by providing library resources, reference assistance, study and meeting space.

  • Exercise the rights and obligations of citizenship at local, state, national, and global levels
  • Understand the local and global implications of civic decisions

Or from Generation Nation:

  • Know first-hand how their governments and communities work
  • Understand and can discuss civic issues and different points of view
  • Can intelligently find and use news and civic information
