Digital Crowdsourcing: Additional Crowdsourcing Projects

Volunteers on this site assist in various research projects. Available projects relate to many different areas of interest, including medicine, the arts, and history.
Transcribe content from the Library of Congress and review others' transcriptions to ensure accuracy. Various historical materials are available to transcribe. While volunteers do need to register in order to review transcriptions, no registration is needed in order to transcribe.
The University of Virginia is asking academic libraries to locate and create records of old books in which users have written or otherwise marked. Create entries for books prior to 1923 located in Shenandoah University Libraries' circulating collection.
The Internet Archive encourages volunteers to preserve webpages through the Wayback Machine. See the Save Page Now section on the website's homepage to begin archiving webpages for posterity.
