BrowZine works by organizing the articles found in the SU Library subscription databases, uniting them into complete journals, then arranging these journals on a common newsstand. The result is an easy and familiar way to browse, read and monitor scholarly journals across the disciplines.
BrowZine can accessed in two ways. The first is with a free app from your mobile device. The second method is BrowZine Web, which provides access on your desktop computer or laptop. Use the "My Bookshelf" feature to select journal content and be notified when new articles are published. This feature can be synced across your devices.
Not all publishers are participating in this project, but the list continues to grow. About 6,000 of our peer-reviewed scholarly journal titles are included for now. For a current list of publishers supporting Browzine, go to the Browzine/ThirdIron website. BrowZine web is set up to search all accessible journals held by SU, and provides links to our complete collection through our OCLC A-Z Journal list.
How do I connect?
1. Download BrowZine by going to the App store for your device and search for "browzine". It's a free download. Or use the Widget, above. A version for Android devices is also available.
2. Next, select "Shenandoah University" from the library list.
3. You will be prompted to log in with your SU network account. This is the same username/password that you would use to access library materials from off-campus. This is not the same as your email username and password.
4. Or use BrowZine Web to connect.
